Beep Services, an innovative taxi logistics specialist, has a vehicle and customer tracking system based on GPS and mobile handset locating technology. They required a way of locating the 20% of customers calling from landline telephone numbers unable to provide a location fix. Beep approached Encoded to solve the problem of locating landline users. |

Encoded designed and implemented a Speech Recognition system to capture the caller's post code. The post code is cross-referenced with Beep's geo database to provide the latitude/longitude co-ordinates of the caller so that they can be located relative to the nearest available taxi. |

Beep Services now have an efficient, cost-effective and user-friendly way to achieve an otherwise impractical and expensive task. The system correctly recognises over 95% of post codes, which gives Beep maximum audience coverage for their solutions. |
